Do you own your own time?

Do you own your own time?

“Do you own your time?” he asked me.

I sat there for a moment, stunned.

Then it hit me like a bus plummeting off a cliff in a Latin American jungle somewhere: YES.

That affirmation took almost 22 years to attain.

Sadly, the driver on that particular Northern California trip wasn’t exactly the owner of her own time, so I had the choice between staying longer or getting an easy ride back to Eugene, Oregon, where I was living at the time.

Just like Patrick Jane–TV’s The Mentalist–in this scene, I’ve realized that I’m always on my own time, no matter what the circumstances appear to be:

You can realize that for yourself too.

The obstacles that get in your way are a lot easier to transcend than they seem in the dark recesses of your mind. The Inner Critic has a way of amplifying it’s critiques to make you feel small, weak, and helpless.

But you’re way more powerful than you think.

That’s what the Art of Not Giving a Fuck is all about.

So remember, use the code blackfriday

And you’ll get 50% off any and all workshops you want at the NGF site, through Monday.

It’s high time you owned your own time, and each of the NGF workshops, in their own way, will show you how to do exactly that.

In other news, I just started up a G+ group called Command Z: From Victim to Adventurer. Just click on that button to ask to join, and I’ll add you right away. I’m adding new, cool stuff everyday for you to watch, listen, read, and enjoy.

I look forward to all the cool and fun stuff you want to share there as well.

If you have a suggestion for more categories, just let me know. Otherwise, the current ones should give you plenty of new experiments and explorations in transcendence to play with.

Speaking of transcendence, once you join the G+ group, you’ll also see that this coming Saturday, you’re invited to a free workshop on Radical Transcendence. Can’t wait to see you there.

Enjoy,

-Garrett

PS: Oh, if you were wondering who asked me that question about time, it was my friend E.J. Gold, when we visited him for a week a few years ago. One of the most expansive weeks I’d had in a long time.
